Education

A question that has puzzled philosophers, thinkers and educators for centuries. Throughout the ages, there have been many definitions of what education is and what it should encompass. In the ancient world, it was thought that a well-rounded individual must possess knowledge in both the physical and intellectual spheres. Today, however, this idea has shifted somewhat. Many people believe that true education only encompasses an individual’s academic skills and abilities.

However, even with this definition in mind, many people are still unsure about what constitutes an “academic” skill or ability. For example, is knowing how to read and write an academic skill? Or is being able to solve complex mathematical equations an academic ability? The answer to this question may depend on the person asking it. There are also many different types of education available today.
